On Line System
Before you can start cancelling GP appointments online (or order repeat prescriptions) you must first register your details for this service.
It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system
Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made and cancel them if necessary.
You can prebook Practice Nurse appointments online for Smears, Long term condition reviews ect.
GP Training
Medical students and Nursing students attend the practice . We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general practice.
However, you will be informed of their presence in advance, and if you do not want them to be present at a consultation, your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.

Home Visits
Requests for home visits should be made, if possible before 10.30 each day so that the doctor can visit after morning surgery. If you feel that a visit is urgent, explain this to the receptionist. The receptionist will ask you to explain what the problem is so that the doctor can decide the urgency.
Urgent visits will always be dealt with as quickly as possible. The doctor may contact you beforehand in order to assess the urgency.
Please only request a home visit if you are genuinely unable to attend the surgery as unnecessary visits lead to a delay in seeing more urgent cases.
Cancellations & Reminders
Cancel an Appointment
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the Practice List.
The Practice does offer pre-bookable appointment with our Practice Nurses and the Health Care Assistant for check ups and long term condition reviews.
Late For Your Appointment
Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
Interpreter
If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.
Text Reminder Service
We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
