Monday 2.00 p.m. –3.30 p.m.The antenatal clinic is held weekly, where the doctor and midwife are always in attendance.
Tuesday 2.00 p.m.- 3.30 p.m.The doctor provides child health surveillances services, where children under the age of five years of age are invited to attend the clinic for regular developmental assessment and to keep up to date with all their immunisations and vaccinations which are an essential part of their pre-school health care.
Tuesday 4.00 p.m. – 5.30 p.m. Thursday 2.00-4.00pmA smear test is a simple, painless procedure which takes only a few minutes. It is advised that all women under the age of 50 have a smear test three yearly, and five yearly thereafter. An appointment can be made for you to attend our smear clinic which is run by our trained nurses. If this is inconvenient, please ask the receptionist for an alternative appointment.
LONG TERM CONDITION CLINICS AND GENERAL NURSING CLINICS
SUCH AS BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS, ASTHMA, DIABETES, CORONARY HEART DISEASE, WEIGHT REDUCTION, COPD, AND SMOKING CESSATION ARE UNDERTAKEN MONDAY TO FRIDAY WITH THE PRACTICE NURSES. WE ALSO OFFER HEALTH CHECKS.
All our patients aged 75 and over are offered an annual check up by our practice nurse to review their health and ensure they are receiving all necessary services available.
All consulting and treatment rooms are on ground level and corridors and doors are wide enough for wheelchairs. Please ask the receptionist for extra assistance if required. Patients who have hearing problems can to speak away from the reception area. If you have sight problems please do not hesitate to ask for assistance if necessary. It would be helpful if you could let the doctor or receptionist know if you are a carer.
We also offer a Sexual Health Clinic, which covers screening for sexually transmitted diseases, such as Chlamydia. As part of this service we offer contraception, emergency contraception, Coil fitting, and free condoms. The clinics take place on Wednesday evening 5.00 - 7.30 p.m. and Saturday mornings 10.00 - 12.00 a.m. This service is open to EVERYONE and not just our patients. Private Sexual Health Service/private G.u.m. Service Available
Screening for sexually transmitted diseases including, all STI and Contraception, Chlamydia, HIV, Gonorrhoea, Syphillis, and Hepatitis B. Contact 07974490068.
The doctors provide a full contraceptive service, including the fitting of coils and caps, and offer advice on any contraceptive matter. Please ask for an appointment.
We perform a range of minor operations at the surgery (such as removing warts, injecting joints, excisions, etc). If you need a minor operation we can usually arrange to do this within two weeks. For the initial consultation please make an appointment with either Dr Smith, Dr Sutton or Dr Vernon to discuss it.
Travel vaccinations are available for our patients. Please give plenty of notice to ensure proper coverage before your journey. A travel vaccination form must be completed and sent in prior to your appointment.

Family Planning including Emergency Contraception, Implanon and Coil Fitting, Hepatitis screening and management of genital skin conditions.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

The shingles vaccination programme was introduced by the Department of Health in 2013 to help protect those most at risk from shingles and its complications. Patients who are between 70 and 79 are eligible for this vaccination. Any patients who reach their 80th birthday is no longer eligible for the vaccination due to the reducing efficacy of the vaccine as age increases.
The vaccine will be available from 1.9.2016 so if you are eligible then please contact the surgery to book an appointment with the practice nurse in the clinic.
